Wood Species

We will gladly accept most hardwood, including: Oaks, Maples, White Ash, Beech, Yellow and White Birch, Elm, Hickory, Locust, Hornbeam, Black Cherry, Black Walnut

 

Note that we cannot accept the following: Poplar, Aspen, Gray Birch, Willows, Cottonwood, Pines, Firs, Spruces, Cedars, Hemlock

Wood Size, Shape & Condition

• Minimum tree diameter 3”, maximum diameter 36”

• Trees can be delivered tree-length and or log length and need to be limbed

• Wood is to be sound, with less than 1/3 of the butt end showing visible rot/decay

• Wood is free of attached or embedded metal, such as nails, wire, etc…

• We cannot accept root balls or large gnarly pieces

Delivery & Pickup

• We will need clear access to the wood for a pickup truck and dump trailer

• We do not take down trees - please contact a local tree service if you need this
